What is the best baby hammock to help babies sleep better?

Newborn babies find it difficult to sleep, particularly during initial few weeks of their life. Few little things can really help the baby to sleep properly.

It is very important that new born babies get good sleep. As per latest research, a newborn may sleep as much as 16 hours a day (or even more), often in stretches of 3 to 4 hours at a time. Babies have different phases of sleep: drowsiness, REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, light sleep, deep sleep, and very deep sleep. As babies grow, their periods of wakefulness increase. Babies can get tired very easily if they do not get frequent naps throughout the day. Baby need to acquire a body position which can relax their muscles before initiating any sleep. Until and unless they get a relaxing body position, their brain sleep sensors do not activate.

Babies sometimes find it difficult to get a position for sleep initiation and maintenance. This may be due to few reasons. Most important reason is their recent exit from mother's uterus. Mother's womb is anatomically structured in such a way that baby automatically gets a flexing position. Flexing position is the most comfortable body position to the new born baby. After delivery, baby usually succeeds to acquire flexing body position for few days but cannot maintain it after a week or so. There are few ways that you can help baby to maintain the comfortable body position. You need to try and give baby an experience similar to mother's womb. First ancient method is to wrap the baby in soft cotton cloth for few hours. You can particularly do this immediately after bath. You can use any soft, thick cotton cloth or blanket to wrap the baby. You need to make sure that you do not cover baby's nostrils or face with that cloth. Please make it tight enough so baby does not get any space to move hands or feet during sleep. This will help the baby to maintain comfortable position for few hours. This will also help the baby to maintain warmth body temperature similar to mother's womb.

Baby Hammock can also help baby to get a suitable body position during sleep. Good quality baby hammock replicates the comfort and security of the womb which is perfect for newborns from day one. Whether your baby has colic, reflux or is just 'a reluctant sleeper' the Baby hammock is perfect solution for you. There are many types of baby hammocks available in the market. Parents need to choose wisely as baby hammock really plays a vital role in baby's well being and overall health. Ideal Baby Hammock should shape like mother's womb. Research studies confirm that by providing physical contact, enclosure and rhythmic movement, young kids, whether term or premature, evidenced significant improved physical and psychological development. Ergonomically developed hammock can decide how 'well' babies and acutely 'sick' babies best survive, grow and develop in the first 12 months of their life.
